Susan W. Eshleman, age 40. I’m an American from Rhode Island, “The Ocean State”. I have a Bachelor’s degree in literature with a minor in linguistics, a Master’s degree in library and information science and have became a K-6 elementary library teacher in 1997.
In China, I have taught English at Future Foreign Language Institute in Dandong and Aston Future 3 in Dalian, both in Liaoning Province. I have been back in Dalian for almost 2 years and am presently employed at Dalian Maritime University. How long will I stay? Perhaps until the Love of My Life shows up and drags me into a life of love and babies. Otherwise, who knows?
Ok, now I know what you are doing and where you are going. Sea Chanties, eh? Fun. A group of us have performed a sea Chanty service at First U for the past three summers. I am going this Thursday to New Bedford Whaling Museum the hear a concert of them. Art Lusignan, who organizes our efforts in Providence, is part of the group.
Hi Susan,
Your Mom gave me your blog address. I printed them out and my Mom and I read them together. We really enjoyed living vicariously through your travels. Hope your ankle is feeling better. I was in an accident Oct 1, broke my arm and really hurt my muscles in my leg. I know what it is like to be layed up. I was out of commission for over two weeks.
Your Mom took me to an organic grocery store out in Bird in Hand today. I bought out the store. We also went out last Saturday. Your Mom took my Mom and I out to lunch for my Mom’s 78th birthday. Wish you would have been there.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your stay!
Fondly, Kim
